    I rode out this morning. Rainy weather has knocked down the leaves almost as soon as they turn, so it hasn’t been a very colourful autumn. On this rare sunny morning however, it was lovely on the trails.

    Through reforestation. This is called the ‘Hogback Tract’. No poetry in that name.

  • I Have Not Spoke the Whole of You

    Playing with something from quite awhile back.

    I have not spoke the whole of you.
    You are my name and my only heaven.
    There is no answer in entanglement,
    just faith discovered in our touch.
    Entwined, entranced I went to my hour.

    You wait like raindrops, unfinished reign of water,
    beloved and with changing colour,
    entraps, enwraps each wish come true,
    lures me in expectation, subservient to dreams.

    And now I would question the moon,
    her image long rippled
    and carried in the stream,
    sleeping under the words of innocence.
    I have not spoke the whole of you.
